Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I’m such a sucker for the Fj55, especially in 2 tone green.

Kinja'd!!!

MR2 Sw20 G-Limited (200 hp NA 2.0 liter)

I could live with this 2 car garage.

It’s like a pint-sized muscle car with better power to weight ratio and better handling. The last one is my favorite performance-wise due to the BEAMS 3S-GE motor swap.

I like that particular car (bottom) but I HATE the external cooler fad. Love the BEAMS engine though (that’s why I want a G-Limited SW20)

ST205 All-trac...mmm tasty. Fun side note: The rear LSD and shifter for this made their way into the 1st gen rav4 as options. I had both.

My two-car garage would be a late N210 4Runner with the 2UZ and a 1UZ-swapped 86/FR-S.

Points for originality? These were powered by a Toyota/Lexus 4.0 V8. Pretty nice boats I believe. The engines were known for being quiet and smooth compared to the usual 350/351 that every other ski boat has. They discontinued the Toyota connection in 2001 I think.

The vt300i was indeed a marinized version of the 1uz-fe. They had good torque and economy but the hull on these was pretty poor. They tracked funny and the wake was sloppy.

I love pretty much any Cressida, but this one in particular:

Also, any tailgated 4Runner (this looks a lot like my old one, minus the ARB)

Kinja'd!!!

Also 80’s Celica Supras. So good.

And the GT-One

Toyota gets a lot of stick for being boring, but they have pretty unassailable enthusiast credentials.

I’m right there with you on the FJ55. It’s just one of the coolest classic SUVs on the planet.

My favorite, though, is the T180 Toyota Celica All-Trac.

Kinja'd!!!

I used to work in the timing and scoring booth for a lot of SCCA events, and one guy that showed up quite frequently had one. This thing was quite literally the Millenium Falcon of SCCA amateur race cars. It was beat to hell and looked like shit. I don’t think it had an original body panel, one of the pop-up headlights was stuck in the up position, and it smelled of stale corn pops. It rattled and squeeked like it was ready to shake itself apart.

But God almighty did that little bucket of bolts punch well above its weight class, particularly when the track was wet. It was so stupid and so ridiculous looking, but so goddamned fast. The fact that it was so stupid looking just made it all the cooler, especially when you had those guys who showed up in pretty Saleen Mustangs, M3s, and SLP F-bodies.

As a result of that stupid little bucket, I will forever have a special place in my heart for T180 Celica All-Tracs. They are, far and away, my favorite Toyotas.

Interesting... as the owner of sub-par wake boat myself, I, too, long for the sweet perfection of a Nautique wake. MCs are pretty good too.

I read on an epicboats forum “history” section how they were applauded by some magazine for their wakeboard wake, and then the author included the caveat that “Nautiques didn’t participate, they obviously would have done well, too.” Haha

I’ve never been behind a Centurion, but a friend just told me today he’s buying a ‘13 Avalanche, so that should hopefully change next summer!

Or, WTF the lake isn’t frozen and I have a full drysuit. It’s going to be 50 this weekend, too. In fact I’ve skied on our lake in every month but February.... I digress.

Why I love Utah: I’ve been skiing and skiing on the same day. FYI - the newer avalanche hulls are nice, solid wakeboarding wake and a great surf wake.

This very well may be the next family vehicle if I have another kid.

Why you no get 4runner? I guess The Tacoma wouldn’t be going anywhere it would be her car I suspect. Also, consider a 2nd gen highlander instead, they will be cheaper used, get nearly the same mileage and can actually tow a load pretty well.

This is definitely not my favorite but the sienna is growing on me and with some small mods it can look quite decent. Looks better than a Highlander

If I ever have a 3rd child this will probably be the vehicle of choice. Since the chances of my wife letting me get Volvo v70 are pretty low, this is something I can live with.

I would prefer this Sienna in true mall crawling fashion but the odds are forever not in my favor

Yessir! I’d gladly take an IFS model and I’m sure it would do just about anything I’d ever need it to, but if we’re picking favorites give me a stick axle.

A friend used to just leave his at our house for days on end and I’d take it to work. I taught my little brother how to drive a stick in it. I remember him saying, “this is way harder than in Forza!”

I don’t like the Highlander and I don’t care about towing. But the 4runner is definitely an option just because it’s a 4runner. Also I thought the 3rd row only came on the Limited edition of the 4runner...guess I was wrong. AlsoI was hoping to get better mileage with the next family car but the minivan sure as hell doesn’t get much better might as well get a 4runner
